Statement of the Director/s
Regardless to political conjuncture and the dominant ethic of the present time, I intend to focus on mankind and its simple but unsolvable eternal questions about death, life, love and existence, which are vastly attractive for me. For "The Translator", Charles Baudelaire’s poem, Albatross, was my main source of inspiration. I see Yusuf as a very beautiful boy vanishing gradually in the middle of the crowd. I wanted to portrait his story in an utter honesty.
Biography of the Director/s
