Statement of the director:
THE LAST VIKING is a dark fable with a comical undertone about identity.
The film explores how our identities are shaped by the perception of others, in the hope that, despite challenges, we can discover our true selves. The focus is on being who you truly want to be.
The film highlights that people are more than one thing, encouraging a more holistic outlook that is inherently more forgiving and less judgmental. Also, if you know you are more than one thing, you won’t be as easily offended or take things to heart.
