Biography of the Director/s
Alex Infascelli started his career in LA in 1990, as assistant director for Propaganda Films (TWIN PEAKS, SEVEN). Back in Italy, he is now regarded as one of the most popular avant-garde music video directors of the decade.
In 2001, he directed his first feature film, ALMOST BLUE, which competed at the Semaine de la Critique in Cannes, and won a David di Donatello, a Nastro d'Argento and a Ciak d'Oro as Best Debut Director. He was also a finalist at the Hollywood Film Festival. Infascelli directed over 50 music videos, three feature films (ALMOST BLUE, THE VANITY SERUM, HATE 2 O) and two tv mini-series for Sky (NEL NOME DEL MALE, DONNE ASSASSINE). For his work on DONNE ASSASSINE, he received an award as Best Italian Director at the Roma Fiction Fest.
In 2015 his first documentary, S IS FOR STANLEY, screened at the Festa Del Cinema di Roma. Based on the life story of Kubrick’s driver, Emilio D'Alessandro, the movie won a David di Donatello in 2016 as Best Documentary, and received a nomination, in the same category, at the European Film Awards.
In 2017, he adapted for the screen Emmanuel Schmitt’s play "Partners in Crime", with Sergio Castellitto and Margherita Buy.
