Nuuk, 14 March 1970. A powerful gas explosion in Block 5 claims the lives of 11 people, injures many more, and shakes all of Greenland.
This tragic chapter in Greenland’s history forms the basis for the documentary BLOK 5, created by Anders Berthelsen. The film is the result of six years of work, with a strong focus on authentic material to portray the time around the explosion as accurately as possible.
