Statement of the director:
While researching for a film about fruits and imagination, we observed the vanishing of the majority of ancient fruit trees in our region and learned about their profound influence on local culture. We envisioned a not-so-distant future where we may need to research the past to reimagine the relationship between humans and the rest of nature.
This film – through a docu-fiction approach – pays homage to the fading tradition of passionate fruit growing and to the art of cinema, both of which share a profound connection through time, imagination, stories, and community.
