38th European Film Awards - Winners 2026

With six awards, the film SENTIMENTAL VALUE was the winner with most awards. The show was distributed through 49 broadcast and livestream partners from 29 countries across Europe. For the first time, the awards show took place more prominently in the international awards season just after the Golden Globes and during the Oscar nomination voting period. The awards show is the glamorous highlight and conclusion of the European Award Season that kicked off in November. Under the header “why do we love cinema?” the show was an artistic experience, co-created by Irish-Scottish filmmaker Mark Cousins together with the creative team of the Academy, German film composer Dascha Dauenhauer and theatre director Robert Lehniger.
