This is the story of two completely opposite households: the Pavone are intellectual and bourgeois, the Vismara are proletarian and fascists. They are two tribes sharing the same jungle: Rome. A trivial accident brings these two poles together. The madness of a 25-year-old will set them on a collision course, discovering the cards to reveal that everyone has a secret. People are never what they seem – but we are all predators in the end.

Statement of the Director/s
This is an ensemble film, but the characters that overlap with, brush up against, and at times are acquainted with one another do not know this. Each one is alone, lost in that stretch of life in which no one seems to understand you, and in which you would like everything to go another way. Reversing course to live their own hope: this is the battle they wage. Whatever amount of love is needed, and however much fierceness, they will discover with their own skin. On the other hand, being happy is a hard job. At times, it’s the job for predators.
When I wrote the first version of PREDATORS five years ago, I started with Federico. His character is the most autobiographical in the movie, and in him I catalysed the feeling that even the most "enlightened" environments have those prerogatives of alienation and sadness that can lead a young person to take up arms. It’s not that I’ve ever thought of placing a bomb anywhere; I am rather referring to that enormous burden of typically youthful frustration, born from the difference that exists between who you are and who others think you are. It is an unsettling burden that can lead you to extreme gestures. Fortunately, in my case, it led me to writing a film. This film.

Biography of the Director/s
Pietro Castellitto debuted in cinema at the age of thirteen with a part in the film DON'T MOVE by Sergio Castellitto. He has been directed by his father in two other films: LOVE AND SLAPS in 2010 and TWICE BORN in 2012. He was chosen by Lucio Pellegrini to play the role of Marco in the comedy A STAR IS BORN. He graduated in Philosophy from the Sapienza University of Rome. In 2018, he starred in ARMADILLO'S PROPHECY, for which he won the Guglielmo Biraghi Award at the 2019 Silver Ribbons.
