Sixteen-year-old Arturs enlists to fight in World War I, dreaming about becoming a hero, but after surviving the brutalities of trench warfare and the loss of his family, he wonders if his efforts in battle were futile and if hope is only to be found in re-building a family and a home as Latvia itself is born from the atrocities of war.

BLIZZARD OF SOULS is a very meaningful historical story that reflects the fight of the small Latvian nation and reminds us that the existence of any country should not be taken for granted.
Biography of the Director/s
After finishing two business schools in economics, Dzintars continued his career at Price Waterhouse Cooper. After several years of a secure international business career, Dreibergs decided to follow his dream and become a filmmaker. He studied at the Latvian Academy of Culture and Baltic Film and Media School, Estonia.
Dzintars Dreibergs is a member of the Latvian Association of Cinematographers and has been educated in courses such as Berlinale Talent Campus.
